alternate_ds_c6dHi everyone! How are your projects going? Are you, like your mod, easily distracted today (so distracted that you post to your journal instead of the comm)? Or maybe you have gotten a lot done and want to tell us all about it? We'd love to see little tidbits of your work, if you want to post them!

Date: 2013-06-03 08:33 pm (UTC)I've been having an epic battle with the top half of Turtle's shell and I still don't even know that it's going to look right when it's all put together, but omg I don't care anymore. I'm starting on the lower shell now, which unbuttons like a vest/waistcoat to reveal a Very Naked Turtle. It is CUTE, but I'm afraid it also looks like I had no flipping idea what I was doing, despite the number of times I've ripped it apart and remade it. Such is the story of my life, though, so maybe things will turn out okay.
Also, totally unsure whether to make Turtle's intergalactic space detective badge a pendant around his neck or a brooch pinned to his shell. Dief's will hang around his neck like a dogtag, so maybe a pendant would be fine. It'll just hang *really* low.
Next up, an Iguana family enforcer.

Date: 2013-06-04 05:57 pm (UTC)Hmm, I would maybe do it as a pendant? You can't pin a brooch to a hard shell (although I guess you could attach it some other way). I mean, I know the shell is really made of yarn, but in the story it's hard, right? So it might look strange if it was a brooch.
