Hee, it's funny how my reaction to other people doing zillion-word epics is "yay!", and my reaction to my own such fics is "aaaah!"

I scared myself counting weeks til the deadline today -- apparently I lost one somewhere? I'm still right on schedule for where I want to be, but this is good encouragement to stop stalling and get on with it. August is going to be much busier for me than July, so I should hurry up and get as much done now as I can.

This is the most fic-in-multiple-comms-at-once that I've ever done : got this and the Midsummer Santa and the Big Bang all going at the same time...and the trickiest part is that this and the BB are both AU's and it's a little hard at times to hold them apart in my mind.

Yeah, that's why I'd initially thought of doing this as a February-May challenge, and it was part of the logic of having rolling deadlines, so that people with other later commitments could still participate in the earlier portion. Scheduling multiple fests is hard -- but it's awesome that there's still so much interest!

I still have momentum on my Temeraire fic, and the first draft of that should be done soon. I recorded a short AU podfic, but am pondering doing one that's a bit longer, too.
